Gorey Madness!

Last Saturday, we attended the 10th annual Edwardian Ball, a celebration of all things Gorey (Edward Gorey, that is: celebrated author of macabre, disturbing, and downright puzzling books). It was alot of fun...ballroom dancing, a croquet course, juggling, acrobats, blah blah blah. Just for the record, the steampunk look has NOTHING to do with Edward Gorey. nothing. For those of you not familiar with steampunk, it's a look straight out of burning man...old west meets goth/industrial/punk...saloon girls with lots of piercings and big boots, lots of clockwork jewelry and animal bones. Blech. Anyhow...here's our portrait from the ball and a few more pics I took. And one demonic cat.
